Ghostbusters RTV Parts

Here are a few parts for the Ghostbusters Afterlife RTV (Remote Trap Vehicle).

RTV Antenna Mount - the RTV has a whip antenna mount on the rear plate - this is my recreation. Requires a 1/4" hole and Installs with a #6 screw and washer.

RTV Steering Arm - due to the shortened chassis, the steering servo needs to be moved to the other side and the existing steering arm won't work. This version works on the other side. Designed to be printed in a tough resin. Uses existing install screw for steering link.

RTV Steering Arm Install Tool - the steering arm has a very stiff spring for the servo-saver function and is difficult to reinstall. The ring on top of the spring goes in bottom of tool, a screwdriver, allen wrench, etc goes thru the hole in top as a handle. Use tool to compress spring and drop in the white washer. Even with the tool this is a pain!

RTV Transmitter Front Bump - small detail that is in area where faceplate was.

RTV Transmitter Connector - for approximately 28G 16 conductor ribbon cable - will need 2

NOTE - as of March 2026 many of the Traxxas parts seem to be out of stock or unavailable. I've left some of the original links just so you can see what you are looking for.

CHASSIS
Traxxas Stampede 4x4 VXL #67086-4 – has turnbuckles, metal driveshaft, better motor and ESC – think this is what they actually used for film.

ALSO NEED:
E-Maxx Big Bore – Dark gray body w red springs #4962
Charger & Battery - lots of different options, many cheaper than Traxxas.
Traxxas TQi 4 channel TX & RX #6507A – optional if you want extra channels for lights, etc. Otherwise use transmitter that comes with kit.

ALTERNATE BUILD– cheaper version, still good, just not as fast – this is what I used. Need to add additional parts that are included in the VXL kit.

TIRES & EXTENSIONS
Goolsky 2Pcs AUSTAR AX-3011 Tires – need 2 sets

NOTE Apparently the tire has been updated and the newest version (has a step back behind the red ring) may need a different length extension. This is the size I used for the older tire version:
12 – 17mm wheel adapter – 30mm extension

GREEBLIES
Small Light - use this for the guts – remove circuit board and just use front and lens.
Big Light - for guts this is perfect – cut off front portion
Rear connector – 6 pin female ITT Canon type # MS3102E14S-6S – Amphenol, Canon, ITT, Bendix brands are all similar

MOVIE TRANSMITTER
1970’s Futaba models such as: FP-T5EN, FP-T6FN, FP-T4FN
Small toggle switches x2
Large toggle switch
Red light x2
Safety Toggle
Whip antenna – will need cut down

D-rings (for handle) - handle itself was made from black canvas and a sponge inside
