Manual paint mixer ( Vallejo / Army painter )

Compact 3D-Printable paint mixer designed for hobby acrylic paints.

It securely fits Vallejo 17ml and Army Painter 18ml bottles. There are 2 versions of paint holder. For one or two bottles. Do not use both versions simultaneously, they won't fit.

Mixer has about 1:4.5 gear ratio on the "big axis" and around 1:8 on the "small axis".

TIPS:

A drop of thin lubricant (i used sewing machine oil) on the gears makes the machine run much more smoothly.

After printing, i recommend to rotate the gears without any paint bottles to loosen the mechanism, as print seams may initially block smooth movement.

Printed with 0.2 layer height.

Assembly tips:

Start by assembling the front gears and back gears, then slide them into the cover.

The front gear assembly may be the most challenging. Begin by placing gears [8/9 and 10] into ring [11], then install the assembly onto carrier [2].
