120mm APFSDS full size replica (Tank Sabot round)

UPDATE May25-2023: Added additional files for printing main canister portion on smaller printers. Split canister sections also have 3mm holes to help with alignment during assembly.

This is a full sized printable model of an M829A1. The model is designed for external appearance and general dimensions only and should not be considered a completely dimensionally accurate replica.

The M829A1 (nicknamed the "Silver Bullet" by Operation Desert Storm tank crews) is widely regarded as the most effective tank-fired (M1 Abrams 120mm main gun) anti-armor weapon in the world, and overwhelmed Iraqi armor during Operation Desert Storm. The M829A1 is a depleted-uranium long-rod kinetic energy penetrator round capable of defeating heavily armored vehicles.

For full scale printing, a printer with 400mm Z axis clearance is required for largest canister section.
