Description

PDF

This is a photogrammetry scan that I did of a Megalodon tooth. It was compiled from 137 images and processed in RealityScan and cleaned up in Blender.

Recommended print orientation:

45 degree angle and tree supports around 43 degree threshold.

For resin, I recommend the same orientation.

Megalodon fun facts:

  • Megalodon was first described in 1835.

  • Fossil remains of Megalodon have been found in every continent, except for Antarctica.

  • Mature Megalodons were capable  of growing to 46 feet (14 meters ) long, while the largest specimens grew to nearly 80 feet (24.38 meters) long.
