### Why this mod?
If your LattePanda Sigma hits 100°C under load, your fan is likely dying, even if it's not making noise yet.
I discovered this when running Tdarr on Manjaro—the CPU hit 100°C instantly without any weird fan noises. Later, the bearing started rattling. Since replacement parts are unobtainable, I created this adapter to use a standard PC fan.
### Performance
This mod switches cooling from the stock "blower" to a "top-down" 92mm fan.
- CPU: Keeps the i5-1340P stable (max 93°C at 41W package power), eliminating throttling.
- SSD: NVMe temps dropped to ~35°C. Since the main PCB is no longer a "hotplate", the drives on the bottom stay cool passively.
### Assembly Notes
1. Wiring: I used 3M Scotchlok connectors to splice the old proprietary connector to the new fan (Noctua NF-A9x14 PWM 12V). No soldering needed.
2. BIOS: Tuned BIOS settings for silence are available in the full documentation.
