This is a configurable riser/top-hat for the SOVOL SV08 printer. In its basic form, it has four corner pieces (labeled) and four vented panels. The panels include an optional slider to open and close the vents.

The optional/replacement parts include:

  • A right side panel to accommodate SOVOL OEM spool holder/mount

  • A panel for 4 Co-print KCM extruders. This panel can be placed on either side or the back of the riser.

  • A front-left corner piece to hold a round temperature/humidity sensor (such as this one: https://a.co/d/0O6bhfC)

  • A front-right corner piece and front panel to mount SOVOL HDMI monitor (https://www.sovol3d.com/products/sv08-upgraded-hdmi5-screen-kits) or any Klipper screen that uses SOVOL style mount.

  • A solid panel (non-vented) panel that could replace any of the four panels, if you choose so.

  • A set of four gaskets (to be printed with TPU) to cushion the SOVOL enclosure glass top.

Mounting options:

  • The pieces (4 corners and panels) should fit together very nicely on top of SV08

  • There are optional holes (2 per corner piece and 1 per panel) to secure the pieces in place with M3 screws. There

  • There are holes on the interconnecting sides of panels and corners for 6X3mm magnets, if you choose to keep everything together securely using magnets.

Printing notes:

Any high-temperature-tolerant filament can be used. I used PETG. But one can equally use ABS, ASA, PC, and Nylon. I assume high-temperature PLA, such as Colorfabb PLA-HP, can be used as well.

If you're using the magnet mounting option, your printer should be able to print perfect circular mounting holes for the magnets. If not, some post-processing might be necessary.

I found a dab of glue would work very nicely, keeping the magnets in place.

If using magnets, please make sure that you keep the polarity consistent so you don't end up with pieces that repel each other. There are 6x3mm magnet applicator models on Printables. I use two of them in different colors. One to push "N" pole (face) of the magnet into the hole and the other the "S" pole. That way I use one applicator for the corner pieces and another for the panels.

Using supports is inevitable. Use the support that you have the best experience with. I've included the .3mf file I used, which worked well for me.

Dimensional accuracy of your printed object is very important. This is a tight fit model and some post processing (sanding and filing) might be necessary specially for filaments that are prone to warping.

Possible optional parts:

Enjoy!

UPDATE 12/30/2025: I replaced the model for the TPU gasket with a new set. The difference is that in this version, the two back corner ones are smaller, so the two front pieces will be longer, allowing both to have small side anchors since they support the front top glass. I've added a sample .3mf file as well.

UPDATE 1/3/2026: There was an issue with the KCM panel (some misalignments, SORRY!). Uploaded the new and working KCM panel. The tube hoses are better aligned, and you no longer need longer M3 screws. The original M3 screws should work, since the new plate between the motor and extruder is to the specified 2mm thickness (the same thickness as Coprint's extruder holder).

UPDATE 1/4/2026: In order to reduce post-processing, I've added a looser-fitting model in a separate folder called "looser fitting parts". Use these parts if the main printed panels and corners are hard to fit together.
