I love my coffee machine and have been using it for more than ten years, but I don't like the way this cover is designed. The front part does not have a normal support and it seems that it is designed to break someday. There are models of this cover, but they are mostly just copies of the original and do not solve the problem of the sagging front. I decided to fix this and made my own model with a magnetic mount. The bonus is that it is now easily removable for cleaning or other maintenance. You will need:
Magnets 6x2 - 3 pcs.
Magnets 6x10 - 2 pcs.
It is required to securely glue the magnets. It may not be easy. I used hot glue on the bottom of the holes, and then poured cyanoacrylate into the cracks.
I used PETG. It seems to me that the PLA is not heat resistant enough for this function, but I'm not sure about that for sure. Besides, I like the flexibility of PETG.
We'll have to print some supports here, I'd like to do without it, but it's not possible. There are very few of them, they are from the inner unseen side and are very easy to remove.
I used the standard slicer settings, only increased the number of perimeter walls to 4 for greater strength of the racks.
