This spinner ball puzzle was designed for my kid to play. It's spinning nice, and require certain skills for its assembling. Can be used as a relaxation ball as well.
To build a ball, it is required 12 equall puzzle parts:
However, You can print less than 12, saying 2-3 parts or 5-6 parts, to build a part of the sphere. More over, You can use different collours for each part, so You'll get the colorfull spinner ball.
I printed all 12 parts from PLA red plastic, which you can see on the pictures and a short gif video)). The original model can be scaled up (to scale it down I'll share another model, because the lock connections would be to weak when scaling down the model). It can be used as decor in your home or office, let's say on the bookshelf or on the table.
I printed it with supports (Prusa organic supports), and the supports where pretty easy to remove, and the inner surface might require some sanding (I didn't sand it).
0.2mm layer height. 0.4mm nozzle. Without saying, the smaller layer height (0.1-0.08m) will provide better results.
I added the STL file of the assembled ball just for the refference, so You can check the model in the STL-viewer, however, You can try printing it too, but don't forget about the supports ;))
The author marked this model as their own original creation.
