Sooooo, I'm always in trouble as I take everything apart to fix stuff, but as many things require spare parts not available at the time, I am in constant need of small boxes.
I always wanted to do something with CD jewel cases, as they are transparent, and standard size - when I found the box organizer by Doupem, it made me think that I can make a box out of them. So I searched for a CD Case model to be used as the counterpart of the lid. However, I wanted to use the bottom sides of the cases too, so I made 2 variants: one with the top and one with the bottomside of the CD cases as lids on the box.
When printing, it is possible to go as low as ~50-55g PLA to be used: the walls are quite surprisingly sturdy when printing withsingle 0.4mm wall and 15-20% cubic infill.
I hope this gives a lot of CD cases a new, useful second life.
