This is a simple 6in long strip of cone spikes for attaching to the top of pet gates for particularly agile pets. They are sharp, but the angle of the cone is steep so it should only deter the pet and not injure it. I filed down the points slightly so they would be uncomfortable but not harmful.
There are two 4mm holes for attaching with screws, though I ultimately attached them with zip ties.
For shorter sections I simply snipped off the amount of spikes I needed.
Printed in PLA.
** Design Context: We have one cat that will easily scale a 6ft pet gate. To keep her from shimmying up the gate we've tried vaseline, tin foil, tape, even a cat light shock mat, etc. Nothing worked. So to keep her from putting her paws up on the top of the gate and hoisting herself over, I made these spikes. She only had to reach up and feel that the surface is uncomfortable and she climbs back down. No injuries - just the threat of one if she's not smart!
