Hi,

I needed a third hand / PCB holder for soldering one of my upcoming little electronics projects. I liked the concepts of the linked designs from vtjballeng and Hassla, but I was missing the specific parts they used. So I designed this remix around components I already had lying around.

Size: Holder body = 40 mm x 40 mm (diameter x height)
Included are two types of screw-caps, one groved and one knurled.

My print settings:

  • Nozzle: 0.4 mm

  • Layer Height: 0.2 mm

  • Walls: 4

  • Infill: 15% gyroid

  • Material: rPLA

  • Supports: no

Materials:

  • 1x M8 hex nut

  • 1x M8x30 screw

  • 3x magnets 8 mm x 2,6 mm

If you like my PCB holder design but need different dimensions for the magnets or the hex screw, just ask nicely. If I find the time, I can add another version here.

Happy printing!

Model origin

The author remixed this model.

Differences of the remix compared to the original

I used concepts and elements from both designs and combined them into a new model that I built from the ground up. For example, I used the hex‑head screw and nut from one design, and the grooved cap from the other.
