TomTom Rider bracket mounting adapter

A compact solution for fastening a TomTom Rider active base to a common 22mm diameter bracket on my wife's Honda Transalp XL 750.

Note: Due to size limitations the base is rotated by 90°. It hasn't been any problem, because the mount itself can be rotated by 90° again.

Parts used (BOM)

• 1x TomTom active base mount (printed)

• 1x TomTom active base (suitable for 4xx and 5xx series)

• 1x 22m diameter bracket

• 4x suitable screws (haven't got the dimensions on hand)

• Some thread lock

• Some heat shrink or old bicycle inner tube

Tools used

• Screwdriver or allen-key suitable for your screws

Suggested print settings

• Rafts: No

• Supports: No

• Resolution: 0.2mm

• Infill: 40% or higher

• Perimeters: 4 or more

Instructions

• Print mounting adapter

• Install bracket on motorcycle

• Wrap some heatshrink or bicycle inner tube around the 22m tube

• Slide mounting adapter over heat shrink / bicycle tube

• Mount active base with 4 screws and tighten

• If base has too much play on 22mm tube, add more heat shrink / bicycle tube

• Install cable of TomTom active base
