This 3D model is a sturdy and clean clamp-style holder for the iPad Pro 12.9", compatible with any VESA 100x100 mounting system such as monitor arms, wall mounts, or desk stands.
The holder consists of two larger printed parts, which are assembled to form a rigid and stable frame around the tablet. The iPad is secured using four rubber bands (recommended diameter: 40–50 mm), allowing quick insertion and removal while maintaining a firm grip.
To protect the device and prevent any movement, foam rubber pads must be glued onto the contact ribs of the holder. The recommended size is 24 × 10 mm, using 1–2 mm thick foam rubber (e.g. Moosgummi).
For final assembly, heat-set threaded inserts are required. These are inserted from the back and allow the screws to be tightened securely without damaging the printed parts.
In addition to the printed parts, the following hardware is required:
4× M4 screws, 25 mm length
(socket head / hex socket recommended)
Heat-set threaded inserts (M4)
4× rubber bands (Ø approx. 40–50 mm)
Foam rubber pads (24 × 10 mm, 1–2 mm thick)
The use of hex socket (Allen) screws is recommended for easier and more secure tightening during assembly.
I printed this model successfully using Sunlu ABS with the following settings:
Nozzle temperature:
First layer: 265 °C
Remaining layers: 270 °C
Maximum print speed: 260 mm/s
Bed temperature: 103 °C (constant)
Enclosure temperature: 60 °C (constant)
⚠ Important:
The largest part requires a minimum build plate size of 305 × 305 mm.
A more heavily split version for smaller printers is currently in development.
This design focuses on stability, durability, and clean integration into professional or home setups.
