I've often found eyehooks a pain to screw in; this tool adapts a socket to allow you to drive a 20mm eyehook.

A 20mm eyehook refers to its length; the standard one has a 2mm wire gauge with 9mm of thread. The eye is approximately 10mm outside and 6mm inside.

Originally, I had designed an adapter to suit a 13mm socket but I realised I could skip the other tools and insert this into a drill chuck directly. To give a good size around the eyelet, I've maximised the shank diameter for my drill chuck. The 120-degree grooves are intended to give faces to drive against rather than relying wholly on gripping the diameter.

I hope the grooves also add to the strength. With the chuck almost entirely open, I was able to feel the alignment of the jaw to the groove as I inserted the bit.

The slot should be snug on the eyehook.

This one was printed in PETG with a 0.6mm nozzle and 0.24mm layers. This model has 3 perimeters and 25% fill with a 3D fill pattern.
