This lamp shade is an experimental design inspired by Art Deco aesthetics, characterized by strong vertical lines and a modular, stacked construction. It is designed specifically for the IKEA RINGSTA / SKAFTET lamp base.
The shade consists of four stackable parts plus an optional inlay element. The parts are simply stacked; the inlay can be used to introduce additional colors or materials, or to hold thin paper or films for subtle shadow effects. While this feature offers creative potential, it has not yet been fully explored.
The model is optimized for FDM printing with a 0.4 mm nozzle and intentionally uses many single-perimeter walls. All main parts were printed in natural/translucent PLA, while the inlay was printed in black PLA. Despite using standard PLA, the shade has shown no issues in regular use.
To achieve a warmer and more atmospheric light, gold leaf imitation was applied to the inner surfaces. This significantly softens and warms the light output. The inlay could also be used to:
introduce color accents
hold thin paper
experiment with subtle shadow patterns
(This has not been fully explored yet, but the design allows for it.)

3× M3 screws
3× M3 heat-set inserts
