I had a little brake judder so wanted to mount my dial indicator horizontally from my drill press to allow me to measure the run out on each disc to work out which one was warped.
My dial indicator is just a cheap one, the sort you find on Temu or Ali Express
I printed this in PLA-CF (just because that was what was loaded in my printer at the time). PLA should give plenty of stiffness for the mount.
I printed this with 4 walls and 40% infill and it took about an hour to print.
Supports are needed for the slot for the dial indicator to fit to the mount.
You will also need
1 M5 bolt 25mm to 30mm long to secure the dial indicator
1 M5 heat press insert up to 10mm long
1 M3 bolt at least 5mm long to secure the mount to the drill stand
1 M3 heat press insert. I used a 3mm long one but you can use one up to 4,5mm long
