I wanted an easy way to mark wine glasses for a larger party we had, with the least amount of hassle regarding fiddling with base plate widths and lengths. Found a neat trick to get the footprint of the text calculated (credit to https://mastering-openscad.eu/buch/example_06/ ) so the base plate automatically resizes to whatever length text or font (any that you have on your machine). Open the file in OpenSCAD, customize radius. cut size etc to the glasses you have, pick a font you like and your printer/filament can handle (fonts with lots of tiny little lines didn't work well for me), then customize the names for your guest list.
The charm in the picture was made with switching filaments during the print, when the plate was done and the name was about to be printed.
The author marked this model as their own original creation.
