Tired of climbing ladders to hang decorations or lights from your ceiling?
This simple but clever tool lets you insert and remove push-pin–style thumb tacks safely from the floor.
The tool attaches to the end of any standard broom handle or painter’s pole (¾-inch ACME thread).
The upper end has a shaped slot that holds a regular push-pin by its plastic head, while the metal point stays centered and aligned.
Just load a pin into the tip, raise the pole, and press upward to seat the tack in the ceiling.
To remove, align the slot around the pin head and pull straight down—the tack pops out cleanly.
Fits most broomsticks, extension poles, or threaded paint handles
Explicitly designed for push-pin–style thumb tacks (not clips or nails)
Works great for hanging party decorations, string lights, or signage
Eliminates the need for ladders or step stools
Easy to 3D-print—no supports needed
Material: PLA or PETG
Layer height: 0.2 mm
Infill: 30 – 40 %
Orientation: base down (as shown in photos)
No supports required
Push-pin dimensions vary by manufacturer, but the tapered slot should accommodate most push pins.
