This 3D model of the Sigriswiler Rothorn peak was created as part of a school project (Vertiefungsarbeit) focusing on modern surveying techniques. Our detailed process involved:
Data Acquisition: Hiking to the summit to capture the geometry using extensive close-range and aerial drone photography (DJI Mavic Mini, FPV).
Processing: Aligning the collected images and generating the 3D geometry using Photogrammetry software (Reality Scan).
Output: Cleaning and optimizing the mesh for successful FDM 3D printing.
This model serves as a technical demonstration of our project and accurately captures the mountain's features.
The author marked this model as their own original creation.
