Dummy IEC 60320 C8 inlet

A protective cap for covering unused IEC 60320 C7 plugs (figure-8 connectors) on equipment with daisy-chain power outputs.

Many devices feature both an input (C8 inlet) and an output (C7 plug) for daisy-chaining multiple units. When not chaining devices together, the output plug is left exposed. This cap safely covers the unused C7 plug, preventing accidental contact with live contacts and protecting against dust and damage.

I designed this for my IKEA Tradfri LED driver, which has an unused output C7 connector that was behind my cabinets with exposed contacts. This cap snaps on to keep everything safe and tidy in tight installation spaces.
