A set of four snap-together Christmas photo-frame ornaments
Each made from two flat, magnet-linked pieces that assemble instantly into a festive frame. The collection includes a wreath, an acorn, a star, and a classic tree finial.
Printing Tips:
Prints cleanly in standard PLA
Prints with a standard 0.4 mm nozzle. Use the Fine preset for crisp details and smooth curves.
No supports needed. Standard temps and speeds work; just slow top surfaces to ~20 mm/s for the best finish on the frame shapes.
Ironing makes an extra smooth finish on top surfaces, but it cannot handle holes in a surface well - I applied it to red ribbons (wreath) and golden frames (acorn and finial).
For the bottom frame halves, a concentric top pattern gives a decorative, intentional look.
Magnets: 8×2 mm (bottom) and 8×1 mm (top). The shells include internal magnet pockets - set a pause in the "Slice model" panel of your slicer right before the pockets close, drop the magnet in, confirm polarity, and resume the print.
Filaments I used:
Bambu Lab golden silk
Bambu Lab matte green
Bambu Lab matte red
Polymaker PolyTerra wood brown
Polymaker PolyTerra earth brown
Polymaker Panchroma celestial white
