Planetary gear for a musicbox

This add-on model is a planetary gear system designed to be driven directly by a music box mechanism featuring a plate (disc) drive and a metal platform.

It features a central main gear and any number of surrounding planet gears that rotate in the opposite direction as the system turns. The layout creates a smooth, visually engaging motion that pairs well with decorative elements or thematic displays.

The gear assembly is dimensioned to sit securely on top of the existing music-box housing and interfaces with the same disc-drive output. Once mounted, the rotation of the music box drives the entire planetary system without additional hardware.

Planet gears can be swapped, mixed, or decorated individually, making the system ideal for custom animations or rotating display elements.
