ESP32 -SI4735 TFT TOUCH CASE

Differences of the remix compared to the original

I have made a few alterations to the original these include :

the case is designed to fit the pcb's with headers between the main pcb and the antenna board

i personally decided to only have one speaker built into the case and use the extra space to hold the 18650 battery,

i decided to use a seperate charge pcb and i chose one with built in boost converter to give me 9v output to the original power jack input on the antenna pcb and i have included extra holes to mount a 5v usb -C power input jack (round panel mount type) / Power switch from the battery to the 9v input(locking) / and test switch for a battery capacity meter (momentry)fitted on the rear of the case,

I have tried to add some labeling text on the rear of the case

i have added space for a slide switch on the rear panel for the pre amp power control (attached to the jumper pins on the antenna pcb)

I have aadded speaker mounting points for a bracket to secure a 50mm speaker inside the main case

i did a little adjustment to the front panel to fit the screen a little tighter and ive added a contoured surround, ive also sunken the vfo knob into the front panel to allow a surround for that and ive added a slot for a rocker power switch on the front panel ( i never added a power button to my antenna pcb so i wired this straight to where that would have been on the back) but i have left the hole in the rear panel if you have a switch on your pcb ,

the front panel itself has been thickened and the main case has been thickened up and some shaping done to the outter walls, the front panel now recesses into the main case edge,

I have also designed a stand bracket with mounting holes if you want to screw your radio down somewhere or it can sit nicely on your desk

I hope you enjoy the mods i have made, I really enjoyed building this kit and i cant recommend JasonKits enough, I had a few issues while building my kit and Jason has been great support throughout the build, hes been great at responding very very quickly with help and support to any questions I've had along the way, I have bought a few kits from jason and he's really been fantastic with everything - 110%, Like i say i hope you enjoy your build if you are here then your probably here having done one of these fab little radios for yourself already
