Finally got my hands on a Goliath hotend, but soon after I realized that:
- original M2.5x5.5 bolts are soft as and the hex slot stripped super easily and I could not get them out from the original printed part anyways, so I just had nothing left but to throw the whole thing with bolts away;
- original Reaper shroud for Goliath is made for 4.1mm mounting meaning theres only 1.4mm thread for original bolts IF the holes for them are perfect which meant I simply drilled the radiator holes with 2.5mm drill bit and tapped new threads in there for M3 bolts with 0.5mm thread step. As the tap tip does not have the teeth, the thread cannot be fully done in one go so after tapping turn the M3 bolts in until they start to get tight and then slowly go back and forth until the bolt itself finishes the thread;
- once retapped, gently file the mounting face flat and then clean whole radiator from any grease and metal debris;
- rebuild the hotend and print the new part for it, assemble the whole thang;
The author remixed this model.
