Description

This version has two different ways of opening with a similar mechanician. To remove the top on the “Push” version, you push the box top perpendicular to the box on the correct side. This causes the top to pop off the detents so it can be separated from the bottom. To remove the top on the “twist” version, you simply rotate the top like you are unscrewing it. The posts pop off the detents with a perfectly satisfying snap.

For the push version, there is also a small clue in the center of the bow in the form of an arrow. This will allow the seasoned professional the ability to open it without guessing. It is the reason why the bow is keyed to the top of the box. The bow orientation does not matter on the turn version.

Its roughly 100mm x 100m x 80mm tall. The top prints in place as one part with no supports, designed for a .4mm nozzle. The bow and ribbons are printed separately and are glued on. I used Starbond Medium CA Glue(aff.) If you don’t already own as set of these clamps (aff.) you should pick them up, they really help with gluing the ribbons on.  Too much friction? Try PTFE Lubricate Spray(aff). This stuff is amazing and just a little bit will majorly help to smooth the motion.

Printed on the Prusa Core One(aff.)

You can find the other gift boxes in the Puzzle Present Collection.
