Everybody knows the Wera Toolcheck is great, so after 25 years of research Wera bravely released the Toolcheck Plus, adding a tiny screwdriver, making it WAY better. My mod adds a 4mm and 14mm socket holder, making it EVEN BETTER!
The flat side of the toolcheck plus has an empty area were Wera could have added another tool. I realized this dream for them (and me) by extending the socket range that is included with a 4mm and 14 mm socket that I had rolling around the toolbox.
The design of the minimalist socket holder (credit to Dalibor) is such that if you ever wear our the detent on that piece you can reprint it in 10 minutes to prevent losing sockets. Printing it in two pieces like this also prevents the need for supports.
The base of this piece was made as large as possible to have as much surface area for superglue as possible, I recommend using sandpaper to rough up the surface of the toolcheck endplate and your printed piece.
***Be careful to align this away from the bit extension and ratchet, otherwise you may block its path for removal***
You may need to scale this slightly to create a tight friction fit on your printer with the minimal socket holder, or to allow your sockets to sit nicely, if the socket walls are thicker or thinner. Tested with ASA on a 0.4mm nozzle.
Please see my other Wera Toolcheck mods on printables.
The author remixed this model.
Uses this socket rail feature to hold two sockets by adding an additional piece to make it secure and ergonomic for the Toolcheck Plus.
