ORB XY | String Art Pendant Light E27 & E26 fast print

Like two dream-catchers crossing mid-air.

A variation of the ORB pendant light I released a year ago.

In this version the 2 string-art discs cross each other at the same level (hence the XY in the name), whereas in the original version the discs are on top of one another.

The mounting bracket can fit E27, E26 sockets.

3D printing settings

The two discs have to be printed flat.
The STL files are already oriented properly.
You'll also find the .3MF file, configured in Bambu Studio. It may open properly in some slicers, but some might set all settings to default when you open the file.

DISCS:
The only trick for the discs is to set the layer height to 0.3mm.
You may have to set the "line width" to about 0.42mm and the "overhang speed" to 30mm/s.
This is by default in Bambu Studio, but you may have to set it manually if you use other slicers and printers.

For BambuLab users, turn on "Arachne" mode in the "Wall Generator" settings.

Wall line count: 2
Layer height: 0.3mm/layer or less
Infill: 15%
top/bottom layer pattern: concentric
Build adhesion type: None
Supports: None

E27 BRACKET:
The mounting bracket prints upright and the STL is already oriented properly.
Go with default settings, maybe 3 perimeter walls if you want to make it a bit stronger.

Wall line count: 2 or 3
Layer height: 0.2mm/layer
Infill: 30%
Build adhesion type: None.
