These hooks make it easy to hang ornaments on tall trees!
You'll need a pole with a hook on the end. I use a 24-foot extension pole with one of these hooks. But you could use something as simple as a broomstick with a piece of stiff wire taped to it. The pole hook goes through the loop on top of the ornament hook. Then you can reach high to hang or remove your ornaments.
Tip: If you're hanging ornaments with a long extension pole, collapse the pole first, then put the ornament on the end of the pole, then extend the pole vertically to the desired height.
I created two sets of hooks, one for 6-inch ornaments, and one for the more common 4-inch ornaments. Each diameter has several variations for different sizes of branches. Pick a branch size that's equal or greater than the actual branch size.
I bought some 6-inch diameter ornaments a few years ago, but I haven't seen them in stores since then. I created an STL model in case anyone wants to make their own. (It's actually 150 mm, which isn't quite 6 inches. I just like to sneak in metric measurements when I can.)
You can use PLA or PETG. PETG will be more durable. PLA works well, too, as long as you don't accidentally whack it hard with your extension pole. (I'll try to be more careful.)
I recommend using clear filament because it blends in with any environment.
