  2. Estes Motor Clip Fin Can

  3. All in one fin can (twist on motor clip)

Each style offers the Sprint style fin

Youtube Instructions

Print Settings (I use)

  • .15mm layer height

  • 8 perimeters or 100% infill - you want to print these solid

Slide on fin can with twist on motor clip

  • TGlue the Body Tube into the fin can aligning the end with the bottom of the fin can.

  • The liner can be glued it but isn't essential and may prove to be better if you find you need to replace it.

  • The 18mm motor fits into the Motor clip

  • Slide the motor and clip up to the fin can and twist lock it into place.

Estes Motor Clip version

Alternatively, if you have a standard 18mm motor clip (from Estes) you can use the fin can designed to work with the 18mm motor clip.

Before inserting the liner, use it to give you the position on the the body tube to cut a hole for the motor clip end.

All In One Fin Can only requires the twist on motor clip

Sprint Style Parts (fin can and nosecone)

The Sprint Style fin can model comes with custom supports (shown here in red) that should easily break off after printing.

The only things that need support are the Astrocam nosecone and the motor locks.

The nose cones have a bar across the base for attaching the shock cord
