After purchasing the 8cm spike feet (as sold on Amazon and eBay), I wanted to make sure that the bottom of my tripod would still be water and dust tight when the spikes were installed.

These hold the supplied metal washer whilst also protecting the bottom of the tripod leg and ensuring it remains water tight as possible.
