Servo-actuated inline water valve for 3/8 inch tubing

Parts for holding a standard water shutoff valve for 3/8 inch tubing (quick-connect fittings). The lever on the valve is turned using a MG996 or MG995 servo. An adapter links the dual servo horn from the servo to the lever on the valve (90-degree rotation).   A lid can be added to cover the servo if deployed outdoors.  Two M3x25 screws are needed for the clamp that holds the valve in position.  Additional M3 hardware is needed to mount the optional lid.

The valve was used in an ESP32-based smart irrigation system to water containerized plants.  Power to the servo was disconnected when not in use to create a very low-power, low-cost latching water valve.

Note, attempts to turn this valve using a smaller MG90 servo often worked. However, the small servo would occasionally fail to turn the lever on certain sticky valves. Thus, the low-cost MG996 was used.
