20mm Magnetic Lid Riser for K1 and K1C - Crisp Snap On Action (Works for CFS and no CFS)

This is an adaptation of the FransKV "20mm LEFT Hinged Lid Riser for K1 and K1C (Perfect for CFS)" except I removed the hinge design, and added a recess to push 2x6mm magnets into place for clean crisp SNAP-N-CLOSE action.

The magnets add a satisfying perfect SNAP when closing the lid. It also assists in closing the lid because the lid sits snug on the riser (hence the perfect fit). Due to my setup, hinges would not work, so they were removed.

Increases total height of K1 K1C printer to 20 ¼ inch.

Requires:

• ~110g of filament
• 4 x  20mm M3 Button Head screws (Also known as Cap Head screws).
• 8 x  2x6mm magnets.

Note - If you use 'socket head' screws, you may not have space for the magnets to sit relatively flush. In such case you can use the 3MF file to change the size of the "Negative Part" cylinders in order to increase the depth of the screw recess. But recognize that you may have to use slightly shorter screws as a result.

Print settings:

• 0.4mm nozzle
• 0.2mm layer height
• Tree supports
• 3 walls
• 50% infill
• Space Gray PLA

Warning: Warping WILL be an issue due to long thin walls with a lot of support so make sure to counter this by using a textured plate and/or glue. 100% first layer adhesion is necessary.

Assembly:

1. Print 3x generic corners
   Print 3x long mid-insert
   Print 1x back right corner
   Print 1x short mid-insert
2. Assemble the parts together. For a sturdy feel and a clean crisp sturdy snap'n close, you should superglue all of the parts together. 
3. Do not overtighten your M3 screws. Lightly tighten and that's all you need.
4. Press your 2x6mm magnets into place.
