Replacement nail file handle.

A new nail file only costs 2 Eur, so is it worth replacing the handle? Well this amount of filament costs much less than 2 Eur, so I would say yes. Also today is a cold and rainy Saturday, and I don't want to walk to the store.

This was modelled in TinkerCad. Here is the file, feel free to tinker it.

There is a sacrificial block that holds the file in position during printing. I pauzed the print at 2mm to place the file. It was risky because it might have damaged the nozzle if it wasn't placed flat.

Recommendations:

  • Add a pauze into the print, to place the item.
  • Use calipers for measurement.
  • Make a scale model in your CAD software, to test the fit of the handle.
  • Add some tolerance into the hole.
  • Use whichever filament doesn't spread.
