Simple yet sturdy wall-mounted retainer for vertical blind slats (around 89–90 mm wide). The shape is inspired by Louvretie-style metal holders, but optimized for 3D printing: a long, solid arm and base create an open channel that gathers a full stack of slats and keeps them neatly tucked against the wall without pinching. All exposed edges are rounded so the slats don’t snag or wear, and the overall look is intentionally slim and Scandinavian.
The part is designed to be printed lying flat on its bottom, so it can be printed entirely without supports while maximizing strength along the arm’s length. Both base and arm have generous wall thickness to make the part stiff enough in PETG for everyday use, while still allowing a little flex if bumped.
Recommended print settings:
Print in PETG or another tough material suitable for window use, and mount with a strong double-sided tape.
