This is not my mini claw for my claw machine. It's fully functional and operated by only one 9g/SG90 servo. No AMS requried. You only need some plastic glue and the servo.
How to build it:
- Remove support structure from black base plate and from the dowel-holes in the green racks.
- Glue the green rack together, use the green small dowels.
- Take the black base-plate and mount the claw-fingers by sticking filament from the left (bigger hole).
- Move the claw fingers all in the maximal upward position and stick the rack from below (the part with missing teeths up).
- Take the one sided servo arm (usually delivered with servo) and cut it at same size as the small green spur gear. For my servo this was at the second small hole in the servo arm.
- Glue the cut servo arm exatly centered on the green spur gear. You can use the green center bolt to help finding the center, but do not glue this part in.
- Move the servo maximal counter clockwise (seen from above). Mount the spur gear so that the cuttet servo arm faces to the left.
- Move claw fingers to the 90° open possition and mount the servo. Secure the servo with at least one screw (second hole is hard to reach). Then fix it with the black clamp-peace from the front (for me it holds without glue).
- Glue the black top piece (called mount) if those holes are needed, I also glued a connector there.
- HAVE FUN :-)
Please comment if you need additional help (next to the assebly-guide pdf-file). I'm happy to help to bring my design to life :-)
The rest of my claw machine has barely 3D-printed parts but if there is interest I can also share more details, how to build a fully functional claw machine.
