Shining Star - 8 points 90mm high

This is a straight forward print, creates an eight pointed star that you can personalise and customise.

Settings

• 2 walls
• 10% infill

Use any infill pattern you like.

I used a glow-in-the-dark PLA from eSun. This one glows green when activated. The writing is a Galaxy Black.

You can either use the slicer to add peoples names, or write on the finished print with Acrylic Paint Pens.

This makes it perfect for having children customise the star to their own taste before it goes on the tree. A little glitter would be nice.

The model is the blank star. I used  a font called Comforta from Google Fonts. It seems to print well and looks nice. I printed at 0.2mm layer height and made the black text 2 layers thick, so it shows up nicely but minimises the print time with two filaments.

In my images, the text is 12mm tall and as you can see, it fits quite long names.
