I don't like having my spool on top of my printer so I came up with this. It allows the direct drive (https://www.thingiverse.com/thing:3369418) to fully clear the top gantry while providing a vertical pull on the filament even if it is mounted off to the side on the table or even attached to the bottom of the printer (https://www.thingiverse.com/thing:3544593).

Hole is 4mm dia so you can slide a short piece of PTFE tube in there.

To mount on an Ender 3 or similar printer, just undo the outer bolt holding the top gantry on and slide it in between the two bolt holes.

The fitment for the 2020 extrusion is very tight so if you have any elephant-footing problems you might have to file it to fit.see note below

This filament guide is most useful if your spool is mounted to the side of your printer.

NOTE: V2 has been added. I've been learning OnShape so I was able to rebuild this from the ground up. The 2020 profile is anexact fit, hence the slight chamfer to help slide into place.

29 July 21: V3 added with the corners rounded for a bit easier fit.

30 Sep 22: V4 added with side spool and rear spool mounts. No supports required for either. Also made the ptfe hole bigger. I used Onshape's new Frame feature to redesign the mount for a more general fit to account for over-extrusion on different printers.
