Case for Thermal Imager

Design Concept

The case is designed to provide protection and support for an MLX90640 2in Thermal Imager, ensuring its durability and portability. Its robust design ensures that the imager is secured during use and transportation. Optional bumpers and lens ring allow for extra drop protection when printed with TPU.

Print Recommendations

At minimum 3 walls with 25% Gyroid infil for the case, in your preferred filament. For the bumpers, buttons, and lens ring, I recommend printing in TPU with at least 2 walls and 20% Gyroid Infil. No supports needed for any part.

Assembly Instructions

Glue the optional camera ring in place on the outside of the case. Place the buttons into their slots in the case first, and gently place the imager to make sure the buttons don't fall out. Ensure all corners and slots are printed accurately to allow a snug fit for the imager. Carefully press-fit the case together. It shouldn't require too much force but should be tight enough to hold together. Glue the optional bumpers onto the 8 corners of the case.
