PDF

This case holds a BeaglePlay single-board computer. To assemble it the way I did requires:

  • 3 socket-head cap screws, M3 x 15 mm
  • 1 socket-head cap screw, M3 x 5mm
  • 4 heat-set inserts for M3, these are 6 mm long

There are also a set of alignment pins, if you want to verify fit before sinking any heat-set inserts.

To mount the external antennas, use the same recommendations from this model's progenitor, repeaed here to stand alone.

Note on changes 2025-Nov-29:

  • Increased cutout size for USB connector, extending cutout into bottom part.
  • Moved cutouts slightly to better align
  • Raised the interior pedestals slightly to give better clearance to surface mount connectors.

Model origin

The author remixed this model.

Differences of the remix compared to the original

This model differs from the original design in that it:

  • Made with FreeCAD for complete open-sourcing modifiability
  • Accepts M3 heat-set inserts by default
  • Screw holes are counterbored for socket-capped screw rather than countersunk
  • Lacks the cool PCB antenna slots.
  • Added a cutout for the JTAG programmer for CPU.
