The biggest issue with a dual filament dryer is you usually have two tubes coming out of it, to connect to a 3D printer. In order to replace or switch out the filament, you would have to feed the filament back through the main tube, twist the filament around its wheel, and re-thread the filament through the same tube to connect to the nozzle.

This simple but effective dual extenders serve both a very important purpose. The main extender breaks the tubes into separate slots, and allows you to directly switch out filament on the fly. The tolerance is a bit tight, so recommended you either add a small fillet around the tube itself, or the model (or just twist). The second connector's job is simply to position both the cables next to each other, while still allowing for flexibility.

It's also recommended that before switching slots, make sure to extrude the wire out of the extender by about an 1/8", so it doesn't get caught.

The dimensions of the filament and tube extensions are the exact same as the Version 1 model, which only connects two tubes together instead of 2-1 splitter.

Also unless you slow down the speed, or add support, you should only print one at a time, and apply support inside the shaft standing up. It sometimes doesn't print very well on the long side, but I've had no issues standing it up, and pulling the support out from inside the shafts.
