This is an attempt to improve the weather-resistance of my ACM-ESP gasmeter by seegel-systeme (https://www.seegel-systeme.de/2022/12/21/wlan-acm-esp-kommunikationsmodul-fuer-elster-gaszaehler/). Our gasmeter is exposed to the elements and only covered with two leaky metal doors. We had problems with water coming into the original cover that was delivered in the set.

The goal was to improve the following:

  • mechanical fit of the ACM module on the gameter
  • improved battery swap possible - without taking off the whole cover plate (three screws)
  • weather-improved: TPU gaskets between the main parts and the battery compartment

This is a work in progress and has to be improved. Especially concerning the following:

  • fit of the adapter plate on the ACM interface of the gasmeter
  • improved mechanical stability
  • snapfit locking of the battery compartment (without the two screws)

Printed on a Bambu Lab A1Mini with nobufil‚s PETG (red parts) and Fiberlogy Fiberflex 30D TPU for the blue gaskets.
