Alien 5" Foldable Antenna mount (2xRC + VTX)

Foldable antenna mount for ImpulseRC Alien 5"

For the assembly you will need these items:
3x M3x10
1x M3x25
2x M3 nut
2x antenna tube (outer diameter 3mm, inner 1.5mm or 2mm)

There are two versions of the moving part, one is flat and a second is zig-zag, the only difference is in the sides that goes together, I thought the flat part could be problematic but it works with both versions alright.

1. put the VTX connector with already mounted antenna into the slot
2. put 2x M3x10 screws in the holes and secure the VTX antenna connector with them
3. before sliding the holder onto the top frame, take both RC cables and put them into the slot in the holder, after that slide the holder onto the top part of the frame.
4. Secure the holder onto the frame with the bolts already included with the Alien
5. take the antennas and put the tubes over them
6. put the "holder_clamp_back" part into the holder, pointing straight up.
7. put the tubes into the clamp_back, take the clamp_front and close them together.
8. take the M3x10 bolt and M3 nut and secure the clamp together, tight enough to hold the antennas.
9. take the M3x25 bolt and put it through the side of the holder, through the clamp to the other side, secure with M3 nut (there's a side with M3 nut shape to hold onto the nut)
10. profit!!!

Not sure if it fits any other Alien versions. (or any other drone..)

The VTX holder is made for the SMA antenna connector that came with my TBS Unify Pro 5G8 V3. It already had threading in both of the screw holes for me so it fit the M3 screws nicely.

The holder snuggly fits the two diversion antennas from my Frsky X4R-SB

I had problem with the Mr Steele way of mounting the antenna tubes (one facing top and one bottom of the drone). It was bad when I was putting it in my drone backpack, it was always squishing the antennas and the bottom antenna tube always got cracked after few months.

This way I can fold the RC antennas easily and put the drone in my backpack without any issues.

The antenna tube diameter is 3mm outside, ?1.5mm inside?. (the ones that came with the Alien 5" frame)

The holder shouldn't interfere with the Lumenier Multi-functional RGB LED Tail Light, the VTX antenna should fit right above it.

Print instructions

0.2mm layer height is enough to have a working print.
The main part should be printed with supports.

The gcode uploaded by me has supports, and it contains the main part + both sides of the flat clamp (some supports may be unnecessary - but better safe than sorry)
