Description

We dig giant robots

Introducing the M13 “THOR” walking tank. I've been working on this project on and off for most of 2025, and now it's time to share.

Like all of my designs, this model provides a dynamically articulated figure that snaps together from printed parts - no screws, no glue, just plastic and patience. If you've ever built a Gunpla kit, you'll feel at home here.

This is also the most aesthetically detailed model I've ever created, and the first one to support multicolor printing by design (though it's not required!)

This is not an easy print, but it's worth the effort.

I hope you'll enjoy printing, assembling, posing, and displaying your THOR model as much as I've enjoyed designing it.

What you get

This deluxe edition contains 3D printable files for the base mech model as well as a massive arsenal of accessories.

All the stuff.

What you will need

  1. A 3D printer (MMU/AMS optional but not required)
  2. Good bed adhesion on that 3D printer
  3. PETG, PCTG, ABS, or ASA filament for the joint parts
  4. Any filament for the body parts
  5. Patience and willingness to read instructions.

If you can print Grabby the Claw, you can print this model.

Instructions

Detailed instructions for printing and assembly are in a PDF on the files page.

If you download “all model files,” it will not include the instructions. You will need to download the PDF instructions separately from the “other files” section.

This is where the instructions are. Do you see them

Print settings are similar to my other models. All parts come properly oriented for printing and do not require supports. A starter 3MF file is also provided for your convenience.

As of 11/29/25, I have also added parts on runners! Many of you have been asking for this, and it should help you keep everything organized. Bed adhesion is still important though!

Size

The THOR model is very small by default - the main mech is only about 3 inches (75mm) tall at 100% scale.

100% with a Haribo pilot and banana for scale.

Personally, I like to scale up to 133%. It's just a little bit easier to work with. But feel free to scale how you want.

  • At 100% scale, a Haribo gummy bear can just barely squeeze into the cockpit.
  • At 133%, it will fit a bit more comfortably.
  • At 270%, you can use a [POPULAR PLASTIC BUILDING BLOCK TOY] minifigure.
  • At 400%, a Mini 13 will fit in the cockpit.
  • At 600%, a Dummy 13 will fit.

Alternate joint parts are provided for use in large (>300%) prints. Please note that I have not tested this model past 400%, so go big at your own risk.

THOR is also compatible with any handheld accessories made for Dummy 13!
