Fast Connect Dock

Presentation

This is a new version of my previous wago dock. I designed this to be safer when connecting devices. I test a lot of them, and they never have plugs. I've been using it for a year now, and it's incredibly fast. Before, I just used free Wago connectors, but that wasn't practical and was prone to errors. With this dock, it's impossible to disconnect the live part. Since it also has a switch, you can quickly turn it off to disconnect the wires or in case of a problem with the equipment being tested.

Printing

Filaments
  • Grey ABS or ASA are my preference, but PETG will work.
  • Color labels according to the standard of your country
Settings
  • height: 0.2mm
  • infill: 30 - 40 %
  • 3 wall loops
  • 5 top / bottom shell layers
  • Supports: No
  • Print orientation: like the STL files

Assembly

  1. Insert fuse holder and cable gland and screw them.
  2. Insert the switch and clip it
  3. forcefully push the labels into their locations and remove the littles links
  4. insert the Wagos into their slots
  5. wire the power cable on the switch with the connectors ( it is possible to weld it to) and take a look at the diagram if needed for the rest of the wiring
  6. Close the lid, being careful not to pinch the wires. It might be a little tricky, but it can be done.
  7. Fix the wall support
  8. Your done ! do a test.

Obviously this DIY device is safer than connecting the wires one by one with the wagos because you cannot make a mistake and unplug from the power side (it's stupid but it can happen and very dangerous) but however it is not a safety equipment that meets electrical standards and you must use it at your own risk.
