**********

2nd Rendition: I named my other carabiner after my daughter (J), so I named this after my son (E).  This works exactly like the way J's carabiner does but with both rounded ends.

3 sizes are provided.

Print using PETG/ABS/ASA, because PLA will likely not do well when flexed to open/close.  I printed mine in PETG to take advantage of flex characteristics and it works quite well.

I used 4 walls, 5 layers top and bottom, 20% infill, which is pretty stiff, but you can try your own settings.

My other Carabiner Designs:

Many Uses: Key rings, towel holder for camping, shower curtain rings, etc.

NOTE: the gap in the locking snap area is designed to be 0.2mm which is good for a generally well-calibrated machine.  If your print is welded together too tightly, it could mean your printer needs further calibration.  If you believe your printer is already well-tuned, one quick way to improve gap control in this area is to increase your acceleration during extrusion so that not too much excess material end up in the snap area to weld it together (for my Prusa MKS+ acceleration of 1000mm/s2 seems to work well.)

I recommend printing this in PETG to take advantage of the flex characteristics of the material.  PLA may snap on you without warning, so I don't recommend using it for this print.

Remember, you can earn some Prusameters if you post a pic of your make!  Plus, it would make my day to see it. ;-D

Happy printing!
