The TC-1 component tester is a nifty little tool to verify component specifications. Mine came with a case and LiPo battery. I found that the included 350mAh LiPo battery neither lived up to it's labelled specification nor lasted long.
I decided to upgrade the internal LiPo battery with a 14500 (AA size) LiPo battery rated and tested to deliver 800mAh. The larger battery capacity also came with a larger physical size, so I had to create a new enclosure, too. I included a TP4056 1S BMS module to look after the LiPo and provided a USB Type C charging port.
I wanted the case to have a close to professional finish, which I felt needed the next best thing to silk screened text, which I consider to be 3D printed text in colour. Here is my design.
The case uses four 3mm x 10mm self-tapping screws for the PCB and two 3.5mm x 15mm self-tapping countersunk screws to secure the lid.
My print is made in eSUN PLA 1.75mm silver and white filaments, with 0.1mm layer height and 15% infill. To print readable small text, I used a 0.2mm print head on a Bambu Lab X1 Carbon printer. Print supports are not needed.
I hope that you can find this print useful, too. If so, you can support my work by buying me a coffee …
