Blue Tit Bird (Chickadee)

Blue tit ornament, almost actual size but I've not measured it.

It looks a little sad when its printing on it's back but its quite happy sitting on its perch. Despite the legs being so thin the model is quite study.

Notes:

I added supports on the back of the bird only, because otherwise the model has almost no contact with the plate. The legs printed ok without any support.

The stand was printed without supports, it's a pretty steep incline and the bottom of the branch is a bit bumpy.

Post-Printing

Glued the parts together with polystyrene cement. Painted with acrylic paints.

How I Designed This

I wanted to print a bird like this and paint it. I couldn't find a free one so had a go at modelling in blender for the first time. It started as a sphere and then I stretched it into shape.
