Hey SD, I've now printed all of your MRR stuff and it's all excellent. I'm using my SV06 Plus and SV07 Plus printers and setting everything on a 45 degree bias on the plate. Even at .2mm layer height, the results are phenomenal.

I've switched out all of the rolling stock to the bogie that you include with the 2 bay hopper and they look fantastic with the Kadee 33" wheel sets and Kadee 148 couplers.

What can we do to convince you to tackle more rolling stock?

@Timpraetor_563857 Very cool, you'll have to post some pics of one all put together. I don't do resin printing so no idea really, but I assume it handles the tiny details better?

@SDHayes Yes, the details are really crisp printing at 6K or better resolution providing a 34 micron pixel size. Some of the newer 12K+ printers provide even smaller pixels - down to 19 microns.

I'm re-running the prints in a non-clear resin now that I have the supports dialed in. That translucent black makes for a seriously ugly finished piece. On my Mono X 6Ks, it's taking around 1h 55m to print a plate (which is the complete assembly on that printer). On my older LD-002H, It takes 3 plates, so around 6 hours there. However, if you get creative with the layout on the plate by using stacked parts, you could print 2 or 3 in one print on a 9"+ printer.

It's good but it needs ladders and break wheel.

Had also thought about adding some simple flat ladder-ish detailing in lieu of an actual ladder, so I may still try that.

@TimW Kadee has some really nice ladders and grab bars for around $5.

#2101, #2102, and #2103 depending on your color needs, Same with detailed brake wheels.

A great boxcar! Detail is excellent and the print turned out well. Need to paint it and adjust the height of the trucks.

@harbormaster
Nice! Did you print out the trucks too, or just the body?

Now you can figure out how best to go about doing decals and let me know what you come up with. I haven't quite made my peace with that part yet......make my own or buy sheets. If you want white lettering the choices get slimmer!
