This is a latch style mount to attach the NiteRider Lumina lights to a GoPro style mount. The latch door screws down once the mount is slid into the light body, securing it into the slot so it cannot come loose.
I have uploaded two versions of the mount piece which slides into the light depending on what you have available for nuts or threaded inserts.
After selecting the type of screw assembly you prefer print one of the NiteRider_Mount_GoPro models and the Latch_Door.
The files are already oriented in the preferred printing direction. The mount models do not need any supports but I would recommend printing in a material suited for outdoor use. PETG, ABS, or in my photos Prusament PCCF.
The Latch_Door does need support for the pivot arm.
I recommend printing with 4 shells and 20 percent infill. I used gyroid, but any should be suitable. Also I would recommend slowing down the first couple layers as the parts that slot into the light are thin at the build plate and thicken as they get to the top.
| Nozzle | .4 |
| Layer Height | .2 |
| Shells | 4 |
| Infill Type | Gyroid |
| Infill Percentage | 20% |
If printing the version for heat set inserts place that into the main body first.
There are two options for assembling the latch door to the main body.
I used a 2mm x 15mm dowel pin from Uxcell with a friction fit.
Optionally you can use a piece of filament through the hole and melt the ends on either side to keep it in place. There is no load on this part of the mount so it doesn't need much strength here.
The latch door is intended to use an M3x6mm screw to hold the light securely. For a toolless option you can use a Knurled M3x6mm thumb screw.
The GoPro mount portion is sized for an M5 screw.
