I use the CoreBoxx on my CoreOne printer. There are times I need to remove it from the top so I can print other materials and removing the cable is a pain, Using this method takes less than a 10 seconds to remove the cable and lift the CoreBoxx off of the top.

This remix is based off of the original design. I wasn't happy with having to reach inside to unsnap the cable.

I used the smaller cable that I got with the MMU3 kit and made a connection between the xBuddy Extension board and the electrical cover using a CONN RCPT 12POS 0.059 TIN SMD  This connector has 2 metal ground pieces on the end, you will need to slide out and bend in half, and then reinsert. This gives the connector support to rest inside the electrical cover. (see Pics)

The connector that is used is surface mount, so the soldering needed will require some skill.

Parts Required:

1  CONN RCPT 12POS 0.059 TIN SMD

2ea. 3MM x 6 screws for the hold down

There is lettering in the cover if you want to print in color.

Printed in PETG with no supports.
